2017 Benton MobilePack

December 1-2, 2017

202,175 Meals

Coming Dec. 1-2 the River Center in Benton, we are hosting the first ever Tacos 4 Life MobilePack in Benton!  In 2011, Austin and Ashton Samuelson had a desire to open a restaurant and feed more than just our own hunger.  They dreamed of making a difference in those who are starving in this world.  So with every taco, quesadilla, salad or rice bowl sold at Tacos 4 Life, one meal is donated to Feed My Starving Children.  On April 17th, the Benton location on Alcoa Road opened it’s doors and invited the communities of Benton and Bryant to help end world hunger.  Those very meals from the Benton location will be assembled in Benton at the new River Center on Dec. 1-2 by people just like you!

Registration is now open!

MobilePack FAQs

Where is this year’s MobilePack?

The River Center, 1069-1585 Airlane Dr, Benton, AR 72015

 What is a MobilePack?

While much of Feed My Starving Children’s meals come from permanent packing sites in the Midwest, every year local groups around the country organize “MobilePacks” where local volunteers have the chance to pack nutritious meals for malnourished children. This is our first MobilePack here in Benton and we will be packing over 200,00 meals in two days.

What will I do?

Our MobilePack is divided into two-hour packing sessions.  During the two hours, you will be given instructions, gather around a station made for about 20 volunteers, and assemble the ingredients of the MannaPack.  This includes rice, chicken, soy, and veggies, all scientifically engineered to help starving children move from extreme malnutrition to becoming a healthy, vibrant child.  It all begins with food.  And you can be a part of changing a child’s life!

Can anyone participate?

All ages are welcome!  Whether you are 9 or 90, there is a job for you!  Most of the tasks require standing and placing ingredients in a bag.  A few jobs, like the “warehouse” require heavy lifting while others, like the “labelers” allows volunteers to sit at tables and play with stickers!  Even small children under the direction of parents can participate and lend a helping hand.

Can my business/organization work together?

The Benton MobilePack offers groups of all kinds the opportunity to work together in a positive, team-focused environment. Some of businesses make this MobilePack an integral part of their service programs. By volunteering for a two-hour packing shift and to raising the money to pay for the packed meals, your organization can create a real awareness of global hunger — and the reality that anyone can do something to impact the life of a child in need.
